花和霧 flowers and fog

This short film was released in 2021 - directed and edited by Melissa Lewis Wong in collaboration with her mother Joy, a singer.

As related to the proposed project, yuntaku, it features bilingual close captions and translation, familial storytelling, and split-screen natural/theatrical video textures that bridge geographic locations. Several experimental short films in this style will be projected in the lobby on loop, with occasional ripples of water/sky/land textures across all projected channels, as well as photo stills of Okinawa that shuffle, glitch or move across the lobby projections.
